CyberRota Analysis
AI-GeneratedFreeRDP versions prior to 3.31.0 are vulnerable to an out-of-bounds write issue in server-side static virtual channel handling, specifically when the CHANNEL_OPTION_SHOW_PROTOCOL is enabled. This flaw allows authenticated clients to send oversized channel messages, leading to buffer underflow and heap memory corruption, which could facilitate arbitrary code execution. Organizations using affected versions of FreeRDP should prioritize patching to mitigate the risk of exploitation.

Original NVD Description
FreeRDP versions before 3.31.0 contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in server-side static virtual channel handling when CHANNEL_OPTION_SHOW_PROTOCOL is enabled. Authenticated clients can queue oversized channel messages that cause buffer underflow and corrupt heap memory including live pointers, potentially enabling code execution.
