Kernel software operating within a Guest VM is vulnerable to improperly issuing commands to the GPU firmware, leading to potential out-of-bounds memory accesses. This flaw could allow an attacker to escalate privileges by manipulating GPU memory beyond the confines of the virtualized environment. Organizations utilizing virtualized environments with GPU resources should prioritize addressing this vulnerability to mitigate the risk of privilege escalation attacks.
