GitLab versions prior to 19.1.7, 19.2.5, and 19.3.1 are vulnerable, allowing authenticated users with developer-role permissions to execute arbitrary commands in a CI context due to improper handling of configuration from user-controlled sources. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it could lead to unauthorized access and manipulation of CI/CD pipelines. Organizations using affected versions of GitLab should prioritize remediation to mitigate potential exploitation.
